Thanks Darijo. I understand the concept of calorie deficit. Honestly didn’t count but I had definitely cut down on sugar and alcohol + breakfast (300 calories) so it should have been lesser than before. But I understand your point — it works for some people and I have quite a few friends and colleagues for whom it worked and it’s good if they can sustain it.
