36 years of togetherness, fun, and laughter
36 years of fights, mistakes, and tears
36 years of raising two beautiful daughters
And a few more now of raising two even more beautiful cats
36 years of listening to some sense and mostly nuisance
36 years of going through the drill without a cringe, without a flinch
36 years it is! And it still feels as if it was just yesterday?
Fighting the world, fighting your parents then and just fighting the norm — you were the rebels then; you are the change now
You seldom realize your kids are just an extension of you, your thoughts, and your values with a hint of their own selves
Living one day at a time, sometimes keeping those fueling desires and passion in the backseat, sometimes chasing them with all the madness
But never giving up, ever.
Trying a little and failing a little, winning sometimes, losing mostly
But never giving up, ever.
When you feel violated, When they don’t pay you your dues,
When they take advantage of you, It’s new packaging but same old news
